As Veldkamp assured, Amsterdam will continue to support Kyiv. As part of these packages, €7 million will be allocated through UCAP under NATO coordination.
An additional €20 million will be directed to the Fund for Energy Support of Ukraine.
As noted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Veldkamp discussed with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga the preparation of the 16th EU sanctions package. The parties agreed on the need to raise the cost of war for the aggressor, tighten sanctions, and close loopholes for evasion.
During the discussions about the special registry established last year in The Hague for compensating damages inflicted on Ukrainians by Russian aggression, the ministers coordinated steps to launch the compensation mechanism and fund it through confiscated Russian assets.
