"We are sincerely grateful to our partners for their solidarity in the much-needed support for Ukraine's energy sector, and to the Secretariat of the Energy Community for their assistance in sourcing the necessary equipment and organizing purchases," said Ukraine's Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko.
The ministry reminded that the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine was established in April 2022 through a joint initiative of the Minister of Energy and European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson, with the support of the Energy Community Secretariat.
"During its operation, it has become an effective tool for providing international assistance in the energy sector, enabling Ukrainian energy workers to recover after Russian attacks, conduct repairs, and install new capacities," the press service of the Ministry of Energy noted.
Donors to the fund include both the public and private sectors from nearly all EU countries, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as international and regional organizations.
