Trump was asked whether he would invest funds in the reconstruction of Ukraine as President of the United States.
"That's a very strange question – can America give anything to Ukraine," the U.S. president replied. "We have already given $350 billion – that's already a significant contribution."
Earlier, on February 23, this information was denied by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. According to him, during the full-scale invasion of the aggressor country, Russia, into Ukraine, the U.S. provided Kyiv with "not $500 [billion], not $350 [billion], not $250 [billion], not $700 [billion]," but "$100 [billion] Ukraine received, and for that, we are very grateful."
According to Zelensky, "the cost of this war" amounts to $320 billion, of which $120 billion represents Ukraine's expenses, $100 billion is assistance from the U.S., and $100 billion comes from Ukraine's partners in Europe and other countries.
