The UN condemns Russia's ballistic missile strike on Dnipro and sees this as a risk of escalating the situation. This statement was made by UN Assistant Secretary-General Miroslav Jenča during a Security Council meeting, as reported by "Vydomo" citing Ukrinform.

The statement goes far beyond mere condemnation and highlights the deep concern of the international community. The use of ballistic missiles of this type, as Jenča emphasized, constitutes a serious violation of international humanitarian law.

"The use of ballistic missiles and the associated threats represent a very dangerous escalation under international humanitarian law. Parties are obligated, I quote, to take all feasible precautions in choosing means and methods of attack to avoid and minimize incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, and damage to civilian objects," the UN representative emphasized.
