A new film titled "Snow is Promised for Christmas" is set to be created in Dnipro. This project became possible due to the victory of the Dnipro-based studio Contrabas video production in the nineteenth competitive selection by the State Cinema of Ukraine. The studio's founder, Oleksandra Teslenko, shared this exciting news on her Instagram, as reported by "Vidomo".
The film will be developed with the support of the State Cinema Support Council. Filming is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2025, with the premiere taking place in December, perfectly aligning with the New Year festivities when audiences are particularly inclined to watch themed films.
The film "Snow is Promised for Christmas" is expected to be a significant event, as it plans to involve over 50 children and renowned Ukrainian stars. This will not only create a festive atmosphere but also draw attention to the talents present in Ukraine.
Interest in the project has already been shown by distributors from Europe and the USA, opening new horizons for Ukrainian cinema on the international stage.
More details about the filming process and the film's storyline are expected to be revealed soon.
