The National Security and Defense Council stated that Trump's announced increase in oil and gas exports could potentially "break Moscow's legs."

В СНБО отметили, что анонсированное Трампом увеличение экспорта нефти и газа может существенно ослабить Москву.

"Trump's message that the U.S. will export its own energy worldwide (oil, gas) is likely to have been 'especially pleasing' to [illegitimate President of Russia Vladimir] Putin – even more than the unknown drones targeting refineries," he wrote.

Kovalenko believes that "this is precisely what could shatter the clay feet of Moscovia – strikes at the energy sector that funds the war."

During his inaugural address on January 20, Trump stated that he would declare a state of emergency in the energy sector and implement a program for intensified energy resource drilling. "America will be a producing country again. We have what other producers do not – the largest reserves of oil and gas, and we will utilize them," said the U.S. President.

The new head of the White House promised to lower prices, fill strategic reserves, and export American energy resources around the globe.
