According to the announcement, Ukrainian pharmaceutical manufacturers have provided the Ministry of Health with proposals for locally produced medications, for which they are prepared to lower prices in the near future.
The list published by the ministry includes medications that are most frequently purchased by Ukrainians from manufacturers such as: "Viola" (nine), "Pharma Start"/Acino (14), "Valartin Pharma" (four), "Astrapharm" (13), "Biopharma Plaza" (four), "Infusion" (11), "Pharmaceutical Company 'Health'" (22), "Lekhim"/"Technolog" (six), "Microkhim" (three), "NovoPharm-Biosynthesis" (five), "Ternopharm" (one), "Lubnypharm" (seven), "Pharmatrey" (five).
Prices for some medications have already been reduced, while reductions for others will take effect on March 1 and April 1.
Among them are pain relievers, sorbents, antacids, human immunoglobulins, antibiotics, anesthetics, anti-epileptic medications, cough suppressants, antipyretics, medications used for regulating blood pressure, vitamins, and trace elements. Over 70 items from this list are included in the National List of Medicines, along with 35 prescription medications that can only be purchased and used with a prescription obtained during a consultation with a doctor,” the Ministry of Health explained.
