It is known that deliveries will take place after contracts are signed for a total of £45 million (approximately $55.3 million) as part of the "drone coalition" initiative. The funding comes from the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands, Latvia, and Sweden.
The statement from the agency noted that the drones will assist Ukraine in more effectively countering Russian aggression, enabling the Armed Forces to bypass Russian air defenses and accurately strike enemy positions and armored vehicles.
Additionally, allies and partners have announced over £190 million in additional funding for the International Fund for Ukraine, which is managed by the United Kingdom.
Specifically, it is reported that the fund will receive:
- £67 million from Denmark for resources including drones, air defense systems, and training equipment;
- £59 million from Norway for specialized capabilities, particularly drones and naval training;
- £43 million from Portugal for reconnaissance and surveillance drones;
- £20 million from Sweden for the repair of Archer self-propelled artillery systems and naval training;
- £4 million from Germany for naval training;
- £1 million from Iceland for the funding of coastal radars.
