This was reported by the well-known sociologist and futurist Mark McCrindle in an interview with The New York Post, as conveyed by Glavpost.
According to McCrindle, Generation Beta will inherit a world filled with challenges. He highlights key issues such as climate change, urbanization, and demographic shifts. These children will grow up in an environment where technology plays a crucial role.
“Automation and artificial intelligence will become an integral part of their lives, impacting education, healthcare, jobs, and even leisure,” notes the sociologist.
Generation Beta will be at the forefront of addressing global issues, from striving for ecological stability to adapting to rapid technological advancements. Predictions suggest that by 2035, this generation will make up about 16% of the world’s population.
The history of generations includes numerous successive groups. Before Beta, there was Generation Alpha (2010–2024), which followed Generation Z (1996–2010). Even earlier, the world belonged to the millennials (1981–1996). Each of these generations contributed to societal development and faced unique challenges.
How successful Generation Beta will be in adapting to new conditions remains to be seen. However, it is already clear that its formation will be influenced by powerful technologies and global changes.
