The deceased, a 54-year-old woman, was retrieved from the rubble of a destroyed private house in Nikopol. A 45-year-old man was also injured, reported the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. As a result of the shelling, residential buildings, gas pipelines, power lines, garages, and vehicles were damaged.
Additionally, according to data from the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 55 Shahed-type drones at Ukraine overnight. By morning, 34 drones had been shot down over eleven regions, and another 18 were lost in a location "without negative consequences." Several drones struck a farm near Chernihiv, and debris damaged private homes in the Kharkiv and Poltava regions.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on a nighttime "group strike with precision weapons" on Ukraine's gas and energy infrastructure. One of the targeted sites was an underground gas storage facility in the city of Stryi, Lviv region, the agency claims.
