The apartment spans an area of 210 square meters and is located on the renowned Palm Jumeirah archipelago. It is unclear how much Eradzhon Gulov paid for this apartment; however, according to journalists' estimates, the current value of the residence exceeds 1.3 million dollars. Documents indicate that this property is utilized for generating rental income of 55 thousand dollars per year.
At the time of the apartment's purchase, Gulov's mother, Parvina Rahmonova, had no known source of income, while her husband, Ashrafjon Gulov, served as the head of the consular service at the Tajikistan embassy in Moscow. According to Central Asia expert Edward Lemon, earnings from a diplomatic position would not have allowed Gulov's father to acquire such a valuable property in Dubai.
In 2015, when the apartment was purchased, Parvina's father, Emomali Rahmon, had been leading the country for over twenty years. Ashrafjon's father served as the Minister of Energy and Industry of Tajikistan from 2006 to 2013.
According to UAE law, children aged 7 to 18 can own property with the guardian's permission. It remains unclear who acted as Eradzhon Gulov's guardian during the apartment purchase. However, as reported by OCCRP, the property transfer documents list the email address of Sukhrab Mirzoaliyev, who was an employee of the Tajikistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Eradzhon Gulov, his parents, and Sukhrab Mirzoaliyev did not respond to requests for comment.
