"The deepening military cooperation between Russia and North Korea has a significant impact on Euro-Atlantic security with repercussions for the Indo-Pacific region," the statement reads.
The escalation of military collaboration between Russia and North Korea constitutes a repeated violation of UN Security Council resolutions. "This is particularly egregious considering Russia's status as a permanent member of the UN Security Council," the document states.
NATO allies have called on Russia to return to compliance with these resolutions and to uphold its international obligations. Australia, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, and Ukraine have also joined this statement.
