In the Mediterranean Sea, three tankers experienced explosions within a month.

В Средиземном море за месяц произошло три взрыва на танкерах.

On Saturday, February 15, two explosions occurred on the Greek tanker "Sidjuel," one of which left a one-meter hole in the hull of the vessel. At the time of the incident, the tanker was docked in an Italian port – the country's prosecutor's office has initiated an investigation.

Another vessel owned by the same Greek company was damaged by an explosion at the end of January near a Turkish port. The third tanker affected by the explosion, the Cypriot "Grace Ferrum," sustained damage off the coast of Libya in February. The vessel even required a rescue operation, sources told Reuters. Representatives of the operating companies of the damaged tankers did not respond to the agency's inquiries.

According to vessel tracking data and accounts from sources, all three ships "recently visited Russian ports," Reuters reports, without specifying when exactly.

In December, after explosions in the stern section, a Russian cargo ship "Ursa Major" sank in the Mediterranean Sea. The operator of the bulk carrier, "Oboronlogistika," later stated that the vessel was subjected to a "targeted terrorist attack." No details were provided regarding who could have carried out the attack on the ship or how it was executed.
