Victims of the Tate brothers have urged the U.S. not to interfere with the investigation in Romania.

Жертвы братьев Тейт призвали США не вмешиваться в расследование их дела в Румынии.

The Tate brothers, who hold dual American-British citizenship, were detained in Romania in 2023 on charges of forming an organized crime group, human trafficking, and rape. In June of last year, the case was brought to court.

Last week, the British publication Financial Times reported that Washington is attempting to intervene in the case. One source from the publication informed journalists that representatives of Donald Trump's administration requested Romanian authorities to return the brothers' passports so they could travel while the investigation is ongoing.

The brothers remain in Romania with restrictions preventing them from leaving the country. The investigation is being conducted by law enforcement agencies from Romania and the UK.

In March 2024, the Bucharest Court of Appeals ruled to extradite the brothers to Britain. However, this will only be possible after the legal process in Romania is completed.

Alleged victims expressed their concern over reports that U.S. authorities requested Romania to ease travel restrictions for Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate.

38-year-old Andrew Tate is a former boxer and participant in the British reality show "Big Brother." He is known for his misogynistic remarks, which have led to him being banned from most social media platforms.

His videos gained significant popularity on YouTube and TikTok, while posts on social media platform X brought him widespread recognition.
