Following the US and the UK, Australia has banned Terrorgram.

Австралия, следуя примеру США и Великобритании, ввела запрет на Terrorgram.

Criminal liability is being introduced for cooperation with Terrorgram, which includes hefty fines and imprisonment for up to ten years, stated Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong on Monday.

She noted that this is the first instance in Australia where sanctions aimed at combating terrorism financing are being imposed on an entity that operates solely online.

Terrorgram is accused of promoting white supremacy ideology and inciting racially motivated violence, Wong said.

In mid-January 2024, the United States designated Terrorgram as a terrorist organization and its leaders as international terrorists. According to U.S. authorities, these leaders are located in Brazil, Croatia, and South Africa.

The State Department's statement indicated that the group incited social media users and aided them in a series of attacks. Terrorgram is linked to the shooting at an LGBT bar in Bratislava in 2022, which resulted in two fatalities, as well as a knife attack on mosque worshippers in Ankara in August 2024.

It is also claimed that Terrorgram is involved in planning attacks on energy facilities in New Jersey.

In April 2024, UK authorities announced that Terrorgram would soon be recognized as a terrorist organization. In a press release, the Home Office referred to it as an online network of neo-fascists.

  • Terrorgram is considered the successor to the neo-Nazi forum Iron March, which ceased operations in 2017. As established by the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR), by 2021, Terrorgram had over two hundred Telegram channels with neo-Nazi orientations.
  • In October 2022, Terrorgram released a video titled "White Terror," in which the creators refer to the participants of mass killings, attacks on authorities, journalists, women, Jews, Muslims, and LGBT+ individuals as "saints." The video included footage recorded by the killer of 51 people in the Christchurch mosques in New Zealand on March 15, 2019.
