A former Trump nominee for Attorney General paid a woman for sex.

Экс-кандидат Трампа на пост министра юстиции заплатил девушке за секс.

The committee has established evidence that while serving as a congressman, Gaetz violated the rules of the House of Representatives. The document, which has not yet been made public, specifically mentions allegations regarding parties and trips associated with sex and drugs, notes the BBC.

"From 2017 to 2020, Gaetz paid tens of thousands of dollars to women who, in the committee's view, were likely involved in sexual activity and/or drug use," the report states, according to CBS News.

Gaetz denies any wrongdoing and claims that he was hated by "the people conducting the investigation." The former congressman also dismissed reports that he ever had "sexual contact with individuals under 18 years old."

Gaetz requested the court to impose a temporary ban on the publication of the report, arguing that he is a private individual and that publication would cause him "irreparable" harm, highlights the BBC.

Matt Gaetz resigned from Congress in November after President-elect Donald Trump nominated him for the position of Attorney General (in the U.S., this official also serves as the chief prosecutor).

Some Republicans opposed his nomination. Ultimately, the former congressman declined the position offered by Trump.
