According to the report, at the end of December 2023, the Director of the Department for Civil Protection and Defense Affairs, along with his subordinate, purchased almost 39 million UAH worth of drones for military units.
During the analysis of the drone market and tender documentation, the investigation uncovered an artificial price inflation of 5 million UAH.
Three officials, as well as the head of the company supplying the drones, have been notified of suspicion for committing crimes under part 2 of article 364 (abuse of power or official position) and part 1 of article 366 (service forgery).
Currently, the court has placed two of the suspects under house arrest.
Officials from the Poltava City Council are suspected of embezzling 5 million UAH during the procurement of drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
