The death toll from the strike on Poltava has risen to 14.

Seventeen individuals, including four children, were injured. Rescuers have retrieved over 20 people from the debris. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.

The entrance of the five-story residential building has been destroyed from the first to the fifth floor. A three-day mourning period has been declared in the Poltava region.

On the night of February 2, Russian forces also struck the Slobidsky district of Kharkiv with a drone. The attack resulted in a significant fire at an enterprise. Rescuers reported that the fire covered an area of two thousand square meters.

Information regarding the casualties and damages is being clarified, noted the authorities of Kharkiv region.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, several buildings, a gas pipeline, and an electricity transmission line were damaged. There were no casualties, reported regional head Sergey Lysak.

According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a total of 55 drones were detected over Ukrainian regions during the night, 40 of which were shot down.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the shelling of Poltava on February 1. In the summary report for Saturday, the Russian defense agency reported strikes on energy infrastructure facilities supporting the operations of the Ukrainian defense industry.

In the summary for February 2, the Ministry of Defense stated that the Russian army targeted military airfield infrastructure and fuel storage sites for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The strikes were carried out using operational-tactical aviation, drones, missile troops, and artillery. As a result, Ukrainian army personnel were affected in 153 areas, the agency noted.
