Durov confirmed the blocking of Russian media Telegram channels in the EU.

"Access to certain Russian media outlets has been restricted in the EU in accordance with DSA/sanctions laws. Meanwhile, all Western media channels on Telegram remain freely accessible in Russia," – wrote Durov on his channel.

On December 28, representatives from RIA Novosti, Izvestia, REN TV, Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Channel One, and NTV announced that their channels had been blocked in the EU. Users attempting to access content from these media outlets encountered notifications about violations of European legislation.
