John Kirby: The U.S. will provide Ukraine with another package of weapons.

"You will see another package of military aid from the United States approved by the president either the next day or within the next couple of days. It will, of course, include air defense systems for Ukraine to assist in repelling these attacks, as well as in its combat operations in Kursk and the surrounding areas," said Kirby.

Kirby did not specify when exactly the U.S. plans to announce the new military aid package or what specific weapons it will include.

Earlier today, Ukraine reported that it received an additional $465 million from Washington and $20 million from the World Bank to support social and humanitarian expenditures in its state budget.

According to Reuters sources on December 20, the U.S. plans to allocate over one billion dollars in military aid to Ukraine in the near future. The package, according to agency sources, is expected to include missiles for air defense systems as well as artillery shells.

The State Department previously stated that the Biden administration plans to utilize all funds allocated for assistance to Kyiv before Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20.
