The Prosecutor General's Office has deemed the RDO operating in Serbia as "undesirable."

The department's statement indicates that the Russian Democratic Society was founded in 2022 by a "subject of the Kingdom of the Netherlands" and a "wanted Russian emigrant," a former municipal deputy from St. Petersburg. Their names are not specified. It is known that among the founders of the society is Vladimir Volokhonsky, a municipal deputy from St. Petersburg who left Russia in 2022, as well as Russian citizen Pyotr Nikitin, who has been living in Serbia since 2016.
