U.S. Secretary of State Rubio expressed hope for collaboration with Russia.

Госсекретарь США Рубио высказал надежду на совместную работу с Россией.

Rubio stated that there should be fewer nuclear powers, not more.

Earlier, the Ukrainian leader mentioned in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan that the transfer of nuclear weapons from Western partners could serve as a sufficient security guarantee for Ukraine. This would deter Russian President Vladimir Putin from launching a new attack, even if Ukraine is not admitted to the North Atlantic Alliance, Zelensky noted.

In an interview with the Breitbart portal, Rubio also referred to the history of relations between the US and the USSR. He specifically stated that during the height of the Cold War, even in the darkest days, “the Soviet Union and the United States still had relations.” We were still communicating. Thank God we communicated during the [Cuban] missile crisis, for instance.”

“Are there things we can work on together in geopolitical or perhaps even economic terms?” Marco Rubio continued. He mentioned the prospect of resetting relations between Washington and Russia.

However, the priority, as the US Secretary of State believes, is currently to “bring this war to at least some form of durable ceasefire” or, as he put it, “a definitive end.”
