"Today, I have already held several meetings on defense topics. The first one focused on our special production, our strategic industries, and our weaponry. There was a report from [the president's advisor on strategic issues] Alexander Kamyshin. This year, we have achieved significant results in several areas," said Zelensky.
He noted that this includes artillery (cannons and shells) and drones ("of various types for different tasks"), "which not only assist the front in defending positions and eliminating the occupier but also strike deeper into Russia."
"We will continue to expand this. We have crossed the threshold of the first 100 units of missile armament this year. I won't go into details, but I want to thank each and every person involved in this production, who organizes the relevant processes. We will continue to grow in this area," emphasized the President of Ukraine.
According to Zelensky, more than 800 companies are currently engaged in the production of weapons for Ukraine's defense and security.
"Now, for the first time in over 30 years of independence, we have not just individual investment initiatives from partners in Ukraine but systemic models for investment. In particular, there is the Danish model, which invests and attracts funding for production. We also agreed with France on a slightly different model that involves technology transfer and the establishment of corresponding production facilities. There are also preliminary agreements with other partners regarding the localization of weapon production in Ukraine. This will consistently strengthen us," he stated.
