In his post, Netanyahu described the accusations against Musk as false and highlighted his contributions to Israel.
"Elon is a great friend of Israel. He visited the country after the massacre on October 7, when Hamas terrorists committed the most brutal crime against the Jewish people since the Holocaust," wrote the Prime Minister on social media platform X.
Netanyahu pointed out that Musk has repeatedly supported Israel's right to defend itself against terrorists and regimes that threaten the existence of the only Jewish state.
"I thank him for that," the Prime Minister added. Musk reposted Netanyahu's message and expressed his gratitude.
On January 20, at an event following the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump, Musk delivered a speech thanking supporters for their victory in the elections. After that, the businessman placed his right hand on his heart and then raised it sharply upwards. Turning to another part of the hall, he repeated the gesture, adding: "My heart is with you."
Musk referred to comparisons of this gesture with a Nazi salute as dirty tricks.
