The organizer of the explosion at Trump’s hotel sought guidance from ChatGPT.

Организатор взрыва возле отеля Трампа искал советы в ChatGPT.

The explosion occurred on January 1. An electric pickup truck approached the glass doors of a hotel near the city center, from which smoke began to emerge, followed by an explosion inside the vehicle. One person was killed – the driver of the exploded vehicle. Seven others sustained minor injuries. Inside the remnants of the pickup, pyrotechnics and explosives were discovered.

The suspect – 37-year-old Master Sergeant Matthew Livelsberger of the Green Berets – reportedly shot himself before the explosion, according to the local coroner's office. The vehicle was rented. The soldier was on leave, with his unit based in Germany. A six-page manifesto was found on one of his phones, the contents of which have not been disclosed.

To plan the explosion, Livelsberger utilized the ChatGPT neural network to gather information. He inquired about the legal amount of explosives he could purchase in neighboring Colorado, where the largest gun store in the state is located in its biggest city, Denver, and whether a gunshot could be used to detonate explosives.

The sheriff's office stated that this is the first known case in the U.S. where such a crime was prepared using a neural network. Descriptions suggest that Livelsberger used it as a search engine and could have found the information he requested through other means.
