The initial phase of USAID reform resulted in savings of billions.

The State Department has evaluated over 9,000 grants related to foreign aid, totaling more than $15.9 billion.

According to USAID, there are still more than 6,000 grants issued over several years, amounting to $58 billion. Preliminary expectations suggest that after the review is completed, the overall funding for projects will decrease by 92%.

A publication by the Russian service of "Voice of America" reports that USAID has maintained programs for food assistance and the supply of medical treatments for HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria. Support continues for countries where aid is critically needed. These include Lebanon, Haiti, Venezuela, Cuba, and several others.
