A correspondent for the newspaper "Izvestia" was killed near Donetsk.

The incident occurred on January 4 on the road from Gorlovka to Donetsk, reported one of the injured, correspondent for the Russian state agency RIA "Novosti," Maxim Romanenko. He claims that the drone that attacked the vehicle was Ukrainian.

In addition to Romanenko, another correspondent from RIA "Novosti," Mikhail Kevkhiev, the editor-in-chief of "Bloknot-Donetsk" and "Bloknot-Lugansk," Svetlana Larina, and correspondent Izabella Liberman were also injured.

Romanenko asserts that the vehicle carrying the injured was a civilian one. Attacking such targets is prohibited by international, Ukrainian, and Russian laws. Gorlovka and Donetsk are under Russian control, with Moscow declaring their annexation, which Ukraine and the international community do not recognize.
