Ten people were injured when a vehicle drove into a crowd at a bus stop in northern Israel.

The Israeli police stated that the suspected attacker had nationalist motives and that he is a 53-year-old Palestinian from Jenin, located in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. It has been noted that he was in Israel without permission.

Preliminary findings suggest that he intentionally targeted civilians waiting for transportation at a stop near the Karkur intersection, south of Haifa, according to a statement from the Israeli police.

The police reported that they "neutralized" the attacker. Authorities did not provide further details. According to various sources, the suspected assailant attempted to escape, and the police opened fire on him.
