A man was killed in an explosion involving a Cybertruck near the Trump hotel in Las Vegas.

According to police reports, after the Cybertruck stopped at the glass doors of the hotel, smoke began to emanate from the vehicle, followed by a powerful explosion. The individual inside the car was killed.

ABC News clarifies that the cause of the explosion has not yet been determined, but pyrotechnics and gasoline canisters were found inside the vehicle. The investigation is looking into whether the deceased driver may have intentionally triggered the explosion.

Tesla owner Elon Musk stated that the company has also launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. The Trump International Hotel, located in Nevada, is owned by U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

The investigation will also need to determine whether the incident at the hotel was directed against Trump or Musk, who has become a close ally of the President-elect in recent months.
