According to Terekhov, the amount of damage is increasing with each shelling of the city and is becoming increasingly "unbearable for the city budget," which is why Kharkiv is already seeking funding sources for future restoration.
The mayor shared that the economic strategy for the city, which was recently presented, was developed by both Ukrainian and international experts, including professors from Oxford and Harvard universities.
This strategy consists of several key areas: supporting human capital through educational and innovative projects, balanced investment distribution among industry, agriculture, and technology, reforming legislation to attract investors, greening the city and implementing energy-efficient solutions, as well as collaborating with international partners while considering the needs of local businesses in the restoration of Kharkiv, as reported by the city council.
