NATO countries have strongly condemned the military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.

"The deepening military cooperation between Russia and North Korea has a significant impact on Euro-Atlantic security with implications for the Indo-Pacific region," the statement reads.

The escalation of military collaboration between Russia and North Korea constitutes a repeated violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions. "This is particularly egregious considering Russia's status as a permanent member of the UN Security Council," the document states.

NATO allies have urged Russia to return to compliance with these resolutions and to uphold its international commitments. Australia, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, and Ukraine have also joined the statement.
