In Kryvyi Rih, police seized over a thousand bottles of counterfeit alcohol from a local resident.

The investigation into the criminal case against the organizer of the illegal trade in tobacco products and alcohol has been completed in Kryvyi Rih. This was reported by "Vidomo," citing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Officers from the 3rd police station of the Kryvyi Rih district police department conducted operational-search activities as part of an investigation initiated under Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the established procedure for the production, storage, acquisition, transportation, shipment, and sale of excise goods). The culmination of these efforts was a search at one of the city's retail locations.

The results were impressive: law enforcement discovered and seized over 7,000 packs of cigarettes of various brands and more than 1,000 bottles of alcoholic beverages – vodka and liqueur-confectionery products – all lacking the appropriate excise tax stamps. The estimated value of the seized counterfeit products exceeds 400,000 hryvnias.

The materials of the case, which include complete protocols of the search, examinations of the seized products, testimonies from witnesses and the accused, have been submitted to the court for a decision.
