He warned that if Ukraine does not work on adjusting the terms of its participation in CBAM, the consequences could be quite severe.
"If we do not take the necessary initiative and do everything to protect our industry, it may cease to exist over time. We are in a unique situation characterized by high levels of negative impact – war and decarbonization," noted Magomedov.
The people's deputy also promised support to the parliamentary committee.
"Members of our committee fully understand this situation, and you can confidently count on us and our support. The Economic Committee is ready to make every effort to secure a transitional period for our country, considering the current circumstances," he concluded.
