The crocodile from the movie "Crocodile Dundee" has passed away.

Bert, the saltwater crocodile, was captured in the Reynolds River in the early 1980s. The animal measured 5.1 meters in length and weighed 700 kilograms. Since 2008, he had been residing in the Crocosaurus Cove terrarium. It is noted that members of his species typically live around 70 years. "Bert became one of the most recognizable crocodiles in the world, appearing in the film 'Crocodile Dundee' and helping to shape the image of Australia as a land of rugged natural beauty and impressive wildlife," stated Crocosaurus Cove.

Bert gained fame for his role in Peter Faiman's comedy-action film "Crocodile Dundee." The movie was released in 1986 and grossed nearly $330 million worldwide, making it one of the most successful films in the history of Australian cinema.
