"These are individuals who are not seeking employment for various reasons. Among them are people with disabilities, veterans, those who have not found their place in the labor market, and women who cannot balance family and work responsibilities," the official stated. "Thus, a significant concentration of our efforts as a government should be directed towards activating these groups of the population."
According to Berezhna, the Cabinet, the public sector, and international partners have developed and implemented many programs aimed at encouraging Ukrainians to become more competitive in the labor market.
In particular, the employment service offers vouchers for retraining, the Deputy Minister of Economy noted.
"However, given the global labor shortage, this is just a drop in the ocean. Therefore, our joint task should be to expand programs that will assist Ukrainians in becoming more competitive in the labor market," Berezhna concluded.
