The group will include representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, and other agencies. The coordination of the work will be handled by the Civil Rights Department of the Ministry of Justice.
"Antisemitism in any environment is incompatible with the ideals of our country," said the head of the group, Leo Terrell, emphasizing that the Ministry of Justice will actively combat this issue.
The administration of former President Joe Biden also reported an increase in antisemitism amid Israel's military operation in the Gaza Strip against the Hamas group, which is recognized as a terrorist organization in the U.S. and the European Union. As part of the national strategy, more than one billion dollars has been allocated in the U.S. for the protection of synagogues, Jewish centers, and schools.
