The head of state reported that he met in Kyiv with the special envoy of American President Donald Trump, Keith Kellogg.
"Today, we had a lot of international work. General Kellogg – this meeting restores hope, and we need strong agreements with America – agreements that will truly work," noted Zelensky. "I instructed to work quickly and very, very thoughtfully. The economy and security must always go hand in hand, and the details of the deals matter: the better the details are outlined, the greater the result."
According to the president, he and Kellogg discussed the situation on the front lines in the war between the aggressor country, Russia, and Ukraine, as well as the necessity to free all Ukrainian prisoners held in Russia.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed the need for a "reliable and clear system of security guarantees" to ensure that "the war does not return and that Russians do not disrupt lives," Zelensky added.
"Peace is needed by all of us: Ukraine, Europe, America, everyone in the world," the president concluded.
