Cannabis was cultivated right in the city: two "drug agronomists" have been arrested in Kamensky (PHOTO).

In Kamenskoye, two "drug agronomists" were discovered, who were involved in the cultivation of cannabis. The arrests occurred after a period of surveillance and evidence collection. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The first arrested individual, a 46-year-old man, was growing cannabis on his dacha, carefully concealing his illegal activities. Police searched his home and dacha, finding not only cannabis plants at various stages of growth but also a significant quantity—almost one kilogram—of dried and ready-to-use narcotic plants.

The second arrested individual, a 40-year-old man, was also caught cultivating cannabis, but this time on the premises of his private property. Here, law enforcement discovered well-maintained cannabis bushes, indicating a systematic and prolonged cultivation process. Similar to the first case, traces of fertilizers and irrigation systems were found, confirming a targeted approach to drug production.

The seized plant samples were immediately sent for forensic examination to determine the type and quantity of narcotic substances. The results of the examination will be used as irrefutable evidence in the court proceedings.

In coordination with the Kamenskoye District Prosecutor's Office, both men were notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 309 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, mailing, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs) and Part 1 of Article 310 (sowing or cultivation of opium poppy or cannabis) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face significant penalties, including imprisonment.
