After his meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky at Shannon Airport, the Irish Prime Minister took to social media to describe it as "warm and substantive." "I reaffirmed Ireland's steadfast support and readiness to offer financial and humanitarian assistance," Martin posted on the X platform.
According to Zelensky, he expressed gratitude to Martin for "the support from the Irish people and government" and for everything that has been "provided to Ukraine to enhance its defense against Russian terror."
Zelensky and Martin also discussed "steps towards ending the war with guaranteed peace for Ukraine and all of Europe" and "the importance of unity among Ukraine, Europe, and the USA." Additionally, they talked about security guarantees and the cooperation between Ukraine and Ireland as Kyiv moves towards EU membership, reported the Ukrainian president.
