Residents of frontline areas in Dnipropetrovsk are being prepared for relocation to safer locations.

On January 24, a weekly Defense Council took place in Dnipro, where a new list of challenges and priorities for the region was discussed, reports "Vідомо" citing the head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA Serhiy Lysak.

Dnipropetrovsk region is prepared to assist residents of frontline communities in relocating to safer areas and to arrange temporary shelter if necessary.

Specifically, this concerns families with children and individuals with limited mobility.

It is noted that they are collaborating with international partners and charitable organizations for this purpose.

Additionally, the construction of fortifications was discussed. Work is ongoing, with specialists and equipment actively involved. Other regions are also assisting in building defensive positions in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

During the meeting, reports on mobilization rates were also presented.

The topic of modernizing centralized public alert systems was addressed as well. It is reported that communities are currently working on this.

Each decision is made jointly with the military, law enforcement agencies, the State Emergency Service (SES), and district heads who joined online.
