Israel has withdrawn troops from the corridor in the central region of the Gaza Strip.

Израильские войска покинули коридор в центральной зоне сектора Газа.

Israeli forces remain in the Philadelphia Corridor, which is situated along the border of the Gaza Strip and Egypt. This area includes the "Rafah" checkpoint, as well as a security buffer zone around the perimeter of the enclave.

Israeli media and Telegram channels report that after the withdrawal of IDF units from the Netzarim corridor, dozens of Gaza residents were spotted approximately 300 meters from the border fence opposite Kibbutz Nir Oz, which was attacked on October 7, 2023.

Israel Defense Forces soldiers fired warning shots. According to military sources, the presence of Gaza residents in the Nir Oz area violates the terms of the agreement between Israel and Hamas.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel intends to eliminate the Palestinian group Hamas, which is designated as a terrorist organization by the US and the European Union, and to return all hostages still in Gaza. The Prime Minister noted that US President Donald Trump fully supports these plans.

Trump has also repeatedly suggested relocating Gaza residents temporarily to other countries willing to accept Palestinians during the reconstruction of the region. This idea has faced strong criticism from representatives of Arab nations.

On February 27, a summit of the Arab League, initiated by Jordan's King Abdullah II, is scheduled to take place, where Trump's proposal will be discussed. Participants are expected to formulate a unified stance of Arab countries on this matter.

It is anticipated that Trump will exert increased pressure, primarily on Egypt and Jordan, demanding that they accept Gaza residents either temporarily or permanently.

An emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is also planned to address this issue.
