Carlo Acutis will be canonized in April of next year. The young man was beatified in 2020 after a miracle was officially attributed to him, marking one of the final steps in the lengthy process of becoming a saint. A second miracle was recognized in May.
The teenager, nicknamed the "God's Influencer," was a devout Catholic who utilized his computer programming skills to create a website detailing Catholic miracles and phenomena. His wax-covered body, dressed in jeans and Nike sneakers, is displayed in a tomb in the Italian town of Assisi and draws thousands of pilgrims each year.
This was reported on Wednesday by Reuters and Politico.
