Poland's Prime Minister Tusk has been suspected of orchestrating a coup.

Премьера Польши, Дональда Туска, заподозрили в попытке государственного переворота.

Svenchkovsky submitted a notification consisting of over 60 pages to the prosecutor's office at the end of January. In addition to Tusk, he suspects several ministers, deputies, judges, and prosecutors of committing a crime.

According to the document, since December 13, 2023, these individuals have been acting "as part of an organized criminal group" with the aim of altering Poland's constitutional system, halting the activities of the Constitutional Tribunal and other constitutional bodies – including through violence and unlawful threats.

In response to Svenchkovsky's announcement, Tusk released a video where he is playing ping-pong, captioning it with the words "coup d'état" and a laughing emoji. In the video, Tusk is informed about the suspicions, to which he responds while hitting the ball, "Come on, we have more serious issues here."

The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, did not directly state whether he agrees with the allegations of a coup, but he referred to Svenchkovsky as an experienced prosecutor and noted that government members are breaking the law.

Since December 2023, Poland's government has been led by a coalition headed by "Civic Platform" leader Donald Tusk. The country's president remains Andrzej Duda, elected from the currently opposition conservative party "Law and Justice." In May, the presidency will change hands: Duda will not be able to participate in the elections, and the candidate from "Civic Platform" is currently leading in polls.
