The U.S. urges Israel to urgently increase aid to Gaza.

According to BBC, the United States has informed the Israeli government that it has 30 days to urgently expand access to humanitarian aid in Gaza, or it risks a halt to some U.S. military assistance.

Now, U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller states that the letter was intended as private diplomatic correspondence. However, now that it has been made public, he expresses his satisfaction in confirming this.

Miller mentions that the current level of aid reaching Gaza is "very low."

He adds that Washington is hopeful regarding Israel's ability to implement the recommended changes, which would result in a "dramatic increase in humanitarian aid" to the people of Gaza.
