In Turkey, an explosion at a weapons factory resulted in the deaths of 12 individuals.

According to eyewitnesses, the explosion was so powerful that it was felt by residents of a nearby village. Following the explosion, the roof of the building collapsed. The search for people trapped under the rubble is ongoing. A total of 112 emergency and fire brigades are involved in the rescue operation. The explosion occurred in a production workshop. As reported by CNN, there were 20 workers on shift at the time. Governor Ismail Ustaoglu stated that there is no risk of a new explosion.

The cause of the explosion is still unknown. However, the regional leader mentioned that there are no indications of sabotage. The prosecutor's office has initiated an investigation.
